I saw John in Asheville North Carolina in May/2002. The performance was at a small club. I got there an hour early, so my friend and I were able to get about 2 feet away from the stage. We stood right infront of Matt (a band member). During one one his songs, John came right infront of us and started jamming on his guitar- that was one of the coolest parts of the show. After a great performance, he ran out and got on his bus. There were about 40 people that waited after the show (including me and my friend), hoping to get an autograph from John. He didn't come out of his bus, but Matt and the drummer were standing next to us mingling with the fans. It was really cool to sit there and talk to them. Unfortunately, he didn't give us any inside information on John or the band, but he did give us an autograph. We watched the bus leave and head off to the next show. It was a great show and I hope I can go to another one soon- So guys, come back to Western North Carolina please!
